In God I Trust ©

Psalm 56

​

(Chorus) When I’m afraid, I’ll put my trust in God,
   In my Lord --- whose Word I praise,
   In God I trust, I will not be afraid.
   What can mortal man do to me!?

1st:  Be merciful to me, oh God, for men hotly pursue me! All day long they press their attack, my slanderers in their pride. All day long they twist my words; they are plotting to harm me.  They conspire, they lurk, and watch my steps. They’re eager to take my life!

2nd:  My enemies will turn back when I call on my God for help.  I will know that God is for me, my vows to Him I must perform.  I’ll present my thanks to God, He delivers my soul from death.  He keeps my feet from falling, so I can walk before Him in the light!
