Ephesians 6:1-3

1st:  Parents are gifts from God above.  They deserve gratitude and love.  They’re lighthouses on the shore, a guiding light forevermore.  They will always do their best to help, encourage, giving rest.  When life brings frustration and sorrow, they give us hope for tomorrow.  They are a special treasure, and their worth is without measure. They comfort us with love to share, ending days with hugs and prayer.

2nd:  Parents give love without measure, even forsaking their own pleasure.  They answer children when they call, and pick them up whenever they fall.  They are
quick to quiet our fears.  When we hurt, they dry our tears. They listen, teach and share.  We can count on them to be there.  They are forgiving for sure, their love and patience will endure.  Despite mistakes, they love us still.  They always have, they always will.

3rd:  In the midst of adversity, our parents teach integrity. Through heartaches and scraped knees, they’re ready to comfort and please.  They guide us to maturity, with character and responsibility.  They love us so very much … they prove it with hugs and touch.  Our parents are there for you, because they always care for you.  A gift from our Father above, another name for parents is, “love!”
